Nusr-Et Steakhouse Beverly Hills

Nusr-Et Steakhouse of Beverly Hills is such a trendy and unique restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills, CA. They offer valet parking and reservations are a must! I so want to rate this trendy restaurant as outstanding but from my experience, I can’t do so. The valet is super easy, you pull up, they are there to open your doors and take your car and they do accept credit cards. We had reservations so we got right in and the hostess was super nice, they currently offer inside and outside dining. I came here as a celebration dinner with my son so that in itself a treat to this mama! The inside is so trendy and uplifting, however the music is way too loud to enjoy dinner conversation. I can’t tell you how many times I said to the waiter “excuse me, what did you just ask”. Another thing I didn’t love were the waiters who are constantly trying to upsell you on every aspect of your ordering, it’s not refreshing but more obnoxious in the way they present themselves. Anyway, on to the food, the prices are what you might expect at a dining experience in Beverly Hills. Drinks were $25 and up, a bottle of flat water is $10.
We ordered the carpaccio that is presented tableside at $40 (by far my favorite dish of the night) as I loved the parmesan crisps that enhanced the beef flavors.
The burrata salad was average ($30), nothing crazy about it, served with arugula, a little pesto, from the dish and a simple dressing
…then we had dinner. We ordered the Lokum ($80) and had about 5 pieces of meat, the meat was ok, nothing great…unfortunately. We also ordered some sides, the mushrooms ($19), the asparagus ($19) and the mashed potatoes ($19) and honestly, the sides were tastier than the meat, I especially enjoyed the mushrooms.
To complete the night we had the Turkish tea, it was strong and delicate at the same time..and it had plenty of caffeine as I barely slept that night, lol.
I’m not sure they can do much to improve the restaurant, maybe focus more on the meats since that is what the restaurant is known for?
FINAL THOUGHTS: If you are coming to Beverly Hills or want a Trendy, fun place to visit (maybe even see a celebrity), then this is the place to come to. If you are looking for an overpriced piece of meat that is nothing special, but again fun and trendy then come give it a try. I’d recommend sitting outside (If they still have the large tent) as it’s so beautiful and not as loud.
