I love Botteta Louie, for me it’s the perfect blend of great food and ambiance. This restaurant is located at Grand and 7th Street in Los Angeles. I have been here for lunch and dinner and have have had amazing meals for both.
I love the feeling of walking in and feeling like I am transformed to a posh New York restaurant, the restaurant is a little on the loud side because of the high ceilings but it is do able. It has white walls, is bright and well lighten, in the front of the restaurant is a small area for walk in’s, it is a cafe style, if you want more of a romantic or business area, you meet with the hostess and are seated, I’ve done both and both are fine, they serve the same food at either one. When you first walk in you are amazed at all the macaroons and desserts, I have taken some of these desserts to go and not one has disappointed me.
For food, I have had the pasta, amazing! I have had the salmon which I love as it is served with farro making it the perfect blend of flavors. The pizza is to die for!!!! and let’s not stop at the must have portobello fries and I don’t say that lightly, the portobello fries are a must!!! The bread is also delicious as it has a crusty crust and a fluffy interior. I also had the chocolate souffle after dinner and it was good, as a foodie, food blogger and someone who is big in the pastry world, this was not my favorite place to get a souffle but don’t let that stop you.
