Paul Martin’s – Westlake Village, CA

April 22, 2016 by Patty Limatola

Paul Martin’s
The Promenade at Westlake
100 South Westlake Blvd.
Westlake Village, CA 91362
805 373-9300

Where do I start when it comes to Paul Martin’s? The restaurant is located at The Promenade at Westlake at the corner of Westlake Blvd. and Thousand Oaks Blvd.  For parking, I have never had a problem with finding parking although I will say that at happy hour, you may have a problem finding a table, yes it’s that popular!

I have been here for lunch, happy hour and dinner all of which is been great!  For happy hour I love sitting on the patio especially during the summer and happy hour runs from 3-7.

The food is very good, traditional American food here are some of my favorites:

  • For happy hour I enjoy the smoked chicken and wings even if you have to use your hands to eat them, I love it!  I’d also recommend the street tacos as you can’t go wrong with them and of course the bistro burger (shown below). The only issue may be the smoked salmon on the happy hour menu, you may be disappointed with the portion size as they tend to use the end of the salmon not the middle and I have had friends send it back

Bistro burger

  • For dinner, I would highly recommend the salt-and-pepper shrimp (my favorite), I love the blackened ribeye and I recently was introduced to the vegan quinoa entree which I never would have ordered in the past but I would order it over and over, it was the perfect combination of spice to sweetness!  I created my own version of this recipe on my blog, MmGood.com, Quinoa with Grilled Vegetables so you can make it for yourself at home.

  • For drinks I was recently introduced to the Corralejo Strawberry Splash which is a perfect balance of tequila and strawberry infused cane syrup.  tend to do the wine or the traditional Cosmo, although any drink made has been great!

Drinks

I love Paul Martin’s and would recommend it for traditional, comfortable and delicious food!  Here is a small video I did while sitting on the veranda.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I LOVE this place, especially for happy hour as I love sitting outside on the veranda.  The manager, Paul, is great and usually walks around to make sure all customers are happy…it’s this personal touch that makes this restaurant stand out!
